11 Secluded Romantic Cabins in the Texas Hill Country

Four stays share 12 acres: Cedar Cabin, Montview Cottage, Studio Cabin and a tiny house. Each one holds no more than two guests. That rule does more for quiet than a long list of soft claims. Groups cannot book the unit next door.

Every unit has its own outdoor hot tub. The Studio Cabin puts one on a 300-square-foot covered deck. Montview places its tub in a fenced garden. Pets are not allowed, which cuts one more common source of noise.

SINYA rents one tent. No second guest party shares the five-acre site. The gate and adults-only rule help, too. The owner’s house sits about 175 feet away, with trees between it and the tent. The FAQ says so in plain terms.

A storm ruined the old tent in October 2025. The new 735-square-foot tent is due to open September 1, 2026. It has a 74-inch soaking bath and a heated cowboy pool. The owner does not call that pool a hot tub.

Walden gives 15 tents 96 acres and 1,500 feet of riverfront. Cars stay in a lot five minutes from the tents. Staff move bags by golf cart at check-in and check-out. At night, that means no headlights or car doors near your bed.

The clawfoot bath sits inside each tent. Four of the eight studios add a wood-fired hot tub outside. Book by unit name and ask for that feature. The lone Tripadvisor review says little, but Hotels.com and Expedia each had more than 40 perfect-score reviews when checked.

Six yurts share 26 acres at the Wimberley site. The booking rules make it adults only. A third-party listing says more than 300 feet of woods split the units, though the owner does not publish that number.

Read the tub line before you book. Unit pages say private hot tub. The policy page says the tub may run as a plunge pool based on the season. In August, your deck tub may be cold by design.

The five main-site cabins have no Wi-Fi, cell service, TV signal or landline. That is real distance, not a mood. Solomon’s Den is a 522-square-foot cabin sold for couples only. It adds a king bed, a fireplace and a hill-view porch.

The Firefly starts at $175. Solomon’s Den starts at $185. Those are the best posted rates here. The trade is the tub: Solomon’s Den has an indoor bath with jets, and no cabin offers an outdoor hot tub.

Seven whole houses spread across more than 35 acres. None shares a wall. Many date to the 18th or 19th century, and the rooms use antiques from the same span. Rates for two start at $229 and fall on some weeknights.

There is no hot tub, jetted tub or outdoor soaking bath. You get a fireplace, a one-mile walk, gardens and room between houses instead. Some reviews flag thin breakfast service and hard-to-follow arrival notes.

Sage Hill has 20 rooms on 88 acres. Only four fit this search well. The Bluebonnet, Lantana, Lavender and Verbena casitas each sleep two and put a hot tub on a private deck. Each deck also gets a fireplace and a table for two.

Other rooms may list an indoor whirlpool bath. The pool area has a shared 14-person tub. Book the word “casita” and the unit name. Rates start near $342, though breakfast and a $75 daily room credit are part of the stay.

Barons sells its Swiss log cabins for couples only. Each has a king bed and a wood fireplace. The site puts 11 or 12 of those cabins on 26 acres, depending on which official page you read.

The two-person Jacuzzi is an indoor jetted bath. Outdoor hot tubs come with two larger units that take children and pets. The public wine bar also hosts live music near the cabins, often until 10 p.m.

Each of the 12 cottages has a private outdoor hot tub. The home, amenity and booking pages all say the same thing. That clear promise, plus more than 800 Tripadvisor reviews, makes this an easy tub-first pick.

Privacy is the weak point. The cottages sit less than five minutes from the town square. They sleep up to six, welcome dogs and share a reunion pavilion. Some guests still find the decks private, but this is a small resort, not a lone cabin.

HoneyTree aims most units at couples, and the Sycamore Treehouse has a rare 4.99 Airbnb score from 666 reviews. Young children are still welcome. In all, 17 units share two sites about 12 minutes apart.

The outdoor tubs are soaking baths. You fill them yourself, and no page says they keep a hot-tub temperature. Blue Sage also shares grills, a fire pit, a sauna and a cold plunge. The Meadow site is the smaller choice.

Onera offers domes, cabins, a spiral and a quonset. Its home page says 12 suites on 13 acres, but the location page names about 20. An expansion notice explains the gap. At the new count, this is the tightest site on the list.

Some unit pages promise a private hot tub. Others say only “hot tub.” A shared pool and hot plunge also sit on the site. Reviews from 2024 record early building noise, though Expedia and Tripadvisor scores remain good.
