Best of Texas started in 2019 as an argument about barbecue that got out of hand. Six years later it is a small newsroom that ranks things across all 254 counties, funded entirely by readers.
We are not a listicle farm. Every guide is reported in person, every place is visited twice, and every ranking has a stated method you can read and disagree with. Here is exactly how we work.
